KLO Professional Billing, Inc.  takes a proactive approach to compliance. Our full-time Compliance Officer enforces strict compliance regulations as designated by the Office of the Inspector General (http://oig.hhs.org ). KLO's Compliance Officer works to ensure that all clients, vendors and staff meet the level of integrity as set forth in KLO's Compliance Plan. Additionally, KLO performs background checks on all KLO employees, clients and vendors to ensure the level of integrity and professionalism meets company and governmental standards.

Housing a Compliance Officer allows KLO to grant services to clients for on-site training. This includes specialty based coding, chart auditing, documentation requirements, HIPPA standards and staff training.

With heightened security measures required by HIPAA (www.hhs.gov/ocr/hipaa), KLO employees, consultants and vendors sign confidentiality statements. Access to patient accounts and records is limited to authorized individuals only. KLO telephone lines, email and computer activity are monitored with the most advanced monitoring software to ensure patient and client confidentiality standards are met.
